MCL Price Matching Service

MCL Data Solutions Quote Beater – Getting the specification spot on saves you time and money.
Everyone’s budgets are tighter, however the demand for Optical Fibre and Structured Cabling has never been higher as expectations have increased and yet all budgets have shrunk. Everyone today has do more with less, but often the specification has been inflated which pushes up the equipment price.

For lower on your “must have” Optical Fibre and Structured Cabling equipment please cut and paste your existing quote into our online enquiry form and we will reply within hours or call us on 01702 443810.

Improve your CCTV - Use optic fibre cable instead of copper cables for better picture quality and no signal interference.

Optic fibre cable used in CCTV transmission has been slower to take hold than its use in other telecommunications and data markets. Traditionally copper cable was used because of the need to keep CCTV component costs down, but with the increased use of CCTV systems, especially in town centres, in the 1990s, a new way of transmitting images across large areas without image degradation was needed.

Fibre optic cable CCTV has many benefits over copper cabling

Fibre optics cable in CCTV means that you can connect hundreds of cameras, recording equipment and a central monitoring station across vast areas, while maintaining near-perfect image quality.
Because fibre optic cables emit light pulses rather than electrical pulses they are not subject to interference from railway lines, tramways, power stations and other sites that traditionally have interrupted or distorted the transmission of CCTV data.

By installing fibre optic CCTV cables instead of copper cables, you are also future-proofing your CCTV system, as the ability to add more cameras and more equipment to the system is easier with the fibre optic transmission method with use of media converters.

We can also provide specialist cable solution like:

Hybrid cable (fiber optic, electrical)

J Schneider capacitor DC buffer module Power supply UPS

Voltage drops are a common problem in industrial and commercial environments. They occur with greater frequency since power–distribution systems are becoming increasingly more complex. Voltage fluctuations have considerable consequences: Production processes are interrupted, machines stop working, systems have to be reconfigured. All this costs time and money. In the worst case scenario a system breakdown can cause data loss and failure of machines and systems.

The J Schneider DC-buffer module of the series C-TEC works with ultra capacitors as energy storage inside the housing. These capacitors are charged by an external regulated DC power supply in normal operation. In case of an interruption of the DC-supply, the energy of the Ultra capacitors is released. The load is now supplied by the buffer module till it is discharged. The back-up time depends on the state of charge of the capacitors and on the discharge current.

With C-TEC  offers a new product portfolio of buffer modules. They are equipped with integrated ultra capacitors instead of using lead batteries as conventional uninterruptible power systems (UPS) do. This makes them maintenance free. As C-TEC does not require changing batteries it provides an economic benefit.

C-TEC BENEFITS:
lifetime maintenance-free – low operating costs
cost -efficient – no extra costs respectively no change of batteries
system flexibility for your individual applications
long buffer time C-TEC Cap Ultra single module
longer buffer time with extension module
longer buffer time due to cascading
longer buffer time due to selective protection of the most critical consumers
safe, intelligent shut-down of industrial PCs
avoids data loss due to destruction
prevents damages to PLC/PC, machines and installation
